About AdHunt
AdHunt.ie searches second-hand and classified listings from marketplaces in the Republic of Ireland in one place. When you find something, you buy it or contact the seller on the original site.
AdHunt doesn’t host listings, take payments or pass messages between buyers and sellers.
How it works
AdHunt reads each marketplace once a day and keeps its own index, so a search never waits on the marketplaces. Results match words as you type them, and small typos are corrected. You can narrow them by category, county and town, price and marketplace.
Some marketplaces don’t say where an item is. When you choose a county, those listings are shown after the ones from that county, since they could be anywhere in Ireland.
What the results show
- The asking price shown on the original listing, in euro.
- Posted is the date the seller gave on the marketplace, when it gives one. First seen is when AdHunt first indexed the listing.
- Verified is when AdHunt last saw the listing on the marketplace.
- A price drop is shown when the price is lower than when AdHunt first saw it.
- A listing is only marked sold when the marketplace says so. If an ad disappears, it’s shown as no longer listed. If AdHunt hasn’t been able to check it for a while, its status is shown as unknown. Listings that are gone are removed from AdHunt 30 days later.

Questions
What is AdHunt.ie?
A search engine for second-hand and used items for sale in the Republic of Ireland. One search covers several Irish marketplaces, so you don’t have to check each site separately.
Which marketplaces does AdHunt search?
DoneDeal, Adverts.ie, eBay (items located in Ireland), Vinted, SalesHub.ie, Sellinn.ie and iSold.ie. The Sources page shows how many ads each has and when each was last updated.
Is AdHunt free?
Yes. There’s no account and nothing to sign up for. You search, and each result opens the original ad on the marketplace.
Can I buy something through AdHunt?
No. AdHunt only finds listings. You contact the seller or buy on the original marketplace.
How up to date are the listings?
Each marketplace is read once a day. Every result shows when it was posted, when AdHunt first saw it and when it was last checked.
Why don’t some ads show a location?
Some marketplaces, eBay among them, don’t say which county an item is in. When you choose a county, those ads are shown after the ones known to be there.
Does AdHunt include cars, pets or property?
No. AdHunt covers general goods: phones, electronics, furniture, bikes, household items, tools, clothes, toys, books and hobbies. Vehicles and car parts, pets, property, rentals, farming and services are left out.
